ANGE is first and foremost the story of a group of well-bread bakers who had the slightly crazy idea of trying to modernise the bakery sector by offering good products at reasonable prices:
- bread kneaded, shaped and baked on the premises before their customers’ eyes,
- a wide range of sandwiches, pizzas, salads, tarts, and so on,
- numerous special offers,
- and an eco-friendly approach.
So François Bultel, Patricia Gaffet and Patrice Guillois embarked on their adventure, opening their first ANGE bakery on 8 December, 2008 in Miramas in south-east France.
This bakery quickly became a great success, attracting other bakers who opened franchises all over France. Ange has really taken off and is growing fast.

1st bakery
1st Ange bakery opens in Miramas (13), on 8 December, 2008. The new concept turns traditional ideas about bakeries on their head. Opening causes a stir and the bakery quickly becomes a great success.

Franchise opens
It is so successful that the 3 founders decide to roll out the concept in the form of franchises right across France. First of all, a tight-knit circle of friends join the adventure, all driven by the same values.

The network expands and the Ange family continues to grow. 10 years on, 131 bakeries in France and one in Montreal, Quebec.

Construction of a new head office, SIEL, in Aix les Milles (13). A place to be, to create and to share, comprising the Head Office, a Training Academy and an R&D Laboratory

200 bakeries
14 years after the start of this wonderful adventure, no fewer than 200 ANGE bakeries have opened right across France, plus 4 more in Canada (Quebec).
